Can you imagine how much this thing would flop around while you are pedaling? I've got a bike with rear suspension and it wastes so much pedal energy flopping around.

Even better, in theory the setup goes in the other direction - reduces wheel pop under torque on irregular surface without an elliptical sprocket.
Plus, you know, it's suspension.

There are so many better ideas for doing that right now. (assuming you mean pedal bob) such as IPV valves, VPP, zero sag setups and rockered 4 bar. This is a complicated kludge of the highest order. My blur would perform just as well in their test as their pastry and its 10 years old.
